Well, this explains a lot about my childhood.
And this (at the bottom) explains a lot about my children.
The question is, are we taking behaviours that are natural to these people and either calling them misbehaviour (when the crime is nonconformity) or disorders (when the disorder is, again, nonconformity)?
I don't necessarily think that this is the catch-all explanation for everything, but damn, does it make a lot of sense.
(By the by, I know I've discussed it briefly here, but I'm a synesthete [I see sounds, particularly music]. It's categorized as a disorder for some strange reason on the website for Indigos, which kind of just makes the point for me about conformity, really. It's not a disorder.)
